Applications
Gravitas-X applications demonstrate how the canonical mechanisms operate within specific authority systems.
They do not introduce new concepts.
They do not modify the canon.
They do not evaluate outcomes.
Each application shows how authority behaves once legitimacy erodes and trust no longer resets, under modern exposure conditions.
How applications function
Applications are executed validations, not interpretations.
They:
- apply the canon to a single authority system
- preserve the canonical distinctions
- describe structural behaviour, not events
Applications do not analyse individuals, incidents, or timelines.
They are mechanism-focused and system-level.
Current applications
Monarchy
Examines how inherited and symbolic authority persists after legitimacy erodes, producing durability without restoration under continuous exposure.
Church
Examines how moral authority systems persist procedurally after trust collapses, and why exposure transforms forgiveness, closure, and repair.
Democracy
Examines how electoral authority persists amid legitimacy erosion, delayed detection, and trust repricing without systemic collapse.
Relationship to the canon
Applications:
- do not extend the canon
- do not alter its scope
- do not imply additional mechanisms
They exist to demonstrate portability, not completeness.
The canon remains closed.
Position
Gravitas-X applications do not recommend reform, preservation, or replacement of authority systems.
They document how authority behaves once its binding conditions change, and explain why persistence often outlasts legitimacy.
